Privacy policy

The Hourlap app collects nothing. This website counts visits with Google Analytics, using only the cookies you allow. Here are the details.

Who we are

Hourlap is made by X10 Marketing Agency, LLC, in the United States (“we”, “us”). For anything about privacy, write to support@hourlap.com.

The Hourlap app

The app collects no data. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing you put in it is sent to us or to anyone else. Its App Store privacy label says “Data Not Collected”.

  • Your Boards stay on your devices. The places, people, hours and settings you add are stored on your iPhone or iPad, where the app and its widgets read them. Like other app data, they’re included in your device’s backups.
  • Searching Apple Maps. If you choose “Search Apple Maps” while adding a place, what you type is sent to Apple to find it, under Apple’s privacy policy. Everything else in the app works without a connection.
  • Purchases. Hourlap Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details; Apple gives developers sales totals only.
  • Clock-change reminders are notifications your device schedules for itself. Nothing is sent to a server.
  • Calendar invitations. When you share a time as a calendar invitation, your device’s own event screen opens. Hourlap can’t read your calendar.
  • Crash reports. If you’ve chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device’s settings, Apple may pass us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. You can turn that off in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

This website

  • Server logs. Like most websites, ours records each request (IP address, browser, page and time) for security and troubleshooting. The logs are deleted after 14 days.
  • Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages help. Google Analytics doesn’t store IP addresses, and we keep its data for 14 months. We’ve turned off advertising features, and nothing here is used for ads.
  • Fonts and images are served from our own server. Pages make no requests to Google Fonts or other font services.
  • Email. If you write to us, or ask to hear when Hourlap launches, we use your address and message only to reply or to send that one launch note. They’re kept in our email system (Google Workspace).

Cookies

The website uses cookies only for Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which last up to two years and tell visits apart without saying who you are.

  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, these cookies are off until you choose OK in the cookie bar.
  • Elsewhere they’re on until you choose No thanks.
  • You can change your choice any time with Cookie choices at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser.

When analytics cookies are off, Google Analytics may still receive a simple signal that a page was viewed, without cookies or anything that identifies your browser. Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Children

Hourlap isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. The app collects no information from anyone.

Your choices and rights

There’s nothing about you in the app for us to show or delete: it all stays on your device, and deleting the app removes it. For the website, you can decline analytics cookies at any time. To ask about, correct or delete an email you’ve sent us, write to support@hourlap.com. If you live in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects what the app does with your information, we’ll say so in the app’s release notes too.
